Special characters in Hindi language

In some words, written vowels change their form in order to join up with consonants. - With ‘aa’:  ा - का  [kaa]  is a combination of  क + आ  (k + aa). The character ा  is added to the right. - With ‘i’:  ि – कि  [ki]  is a combination of  क + इ  (k + i). The character  ि  is added to the left and above. - With ‘ee’: ी – की  [kee]  is a combination of  क+ ई  (k + ee). Hindi Alphabet

The first step of any language is to learn its alphabet. We all started from A for Apple, B for Bat and C for Cat. The following table of content provides a list of all lessons on Hindi alphabet Hindi is written in Devanagari script. On a paper, it is written from left to right just like English. There are 12 vowels and 36 consonants in Hindi. Fear not, all have equivalent English pronunciations. what is Hindi? Well it’s one of the widest spoken languages in the world with around 500 million speakers. In fact that’s only outnumbered only by Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish! It is mainly spoken in and around the areas of northern India but, of course, it is spoken by communities all over the world. Hindi is also a very powerful language in terms of global politics, with India being one the fastest growing economies in the world. It is also the main language of  Bollywood , the billion dollar film industry. Hindi is a member of what language experts call the Indo-European language family. You may be surprised to know English is a member of this family too! This doesn’t mean they’re that similar though.
